The Information Technology & K-economy Age

Malaysia is moving towards becoming an Information Technology based country with society that is IT skilled. The success of Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) is hinged on a large workforce that is truly skilled. From statistics, it is clear that Malaysia still has a tremendous need to fill this skilled workforce requirement.

The Malaysian Government is therefore taking active steps to meet this skilled workforce demand by making IT training and development more accessible to everyone available and willing to take this IT challenge.

It is almost a prerequisite now to be equipped with computer skills no matter what industry you choose to be employed in.

In the light of this, it is of paramount importance for everyone to receive formal training and acquire basic qualifications in not just the sciences of computing but more importantly the practical hands-on skills in computer usage. As such there in no skill quite as important and far reaching as the ability to use a computer and to use it to its maximum potential.

Students are therefore encouraged to take full advantage of this well designed course so that they can personally benefit from it and at the same time contribute and meet the nation's needs for thousands of skilled workforce and professionals in the bid to make Malaysia an industrialised nation thereby fulfilling Vision 2020.
